Why Choose Us
Our friendly and professional approach ensures that your queries are dealt with in a helpful manner, with as little jargon as possible. The advice we provide to our clients is tailor made to fit your individual needs as we are fully focused on what is best for you, our client.
We encourage our clients to pick up the phone and run their ideas past us or drop us an email if there’s anything they’d like to discuss. We will never charge you for just popping in to run something past us and will always let you know if any of the work needed as a result of the phone call/chats will incur a separate charge so you can agree it.
Although one of our book keeping staff might be your day to day contact, all final accounts and tax returns are reviewed and finalised by our director Katie Bladen, giving you peace of mind.
As we keep up to date with the latest legislation then we will contact you with anything which we feel is relevant to your business/sector e.g. as a result of any Budget announcements.
We also reach out to some of our professional partners from time to time, if we feel like you or your business could do with more help, as we’re not regulated to carry out certain aspects of financial advice, in particular surrounding pensions, financial investments or legal advice.
You’re under no obligation to work directly with them but we often find that the added services they can offer massively help our clients.
Our approach:
1. Initial meeting:
First up is what we call your discovery meeting, which is completely free of charge. This can be a face to face meeting (at our office or yours), a telephone call or a video call, whichever you prefer.
Even if you are not based in Newport, we are more than happy to travel to meet with you in person.
Our team will use this time to run through your situation, discuss what you are looking for and work out how we can help you. This call/meeting could cover anything right through from payroll and CIS to VAT and book keeping or to accounts and tax work.
Take this time to ask us as many questions as you like, whether that’s about us, our firm, or something more specific relating to your business. We will also use this time to ask you questions about your business and your personal taxes to ensure we know which services would help you before providing you with a bespoke, no obligation quotation.
2. No obligation quotation:
Following our discovery meeting, we will send over a no obligation quotation by email which will also list all the services we will be providing you with. If necessary, we will also provide details of other services which may be relevant to you in the future.
We are more than happy to provide you with a fixed fee quotation if it suits your business, and you can choose from monthly, quarterly or annual payment options to suit your needs.
This quotation will provide details about the next steps needed if you want to appoint us as agents, but please contact us if you have any queries.
Once the quotation has been accepted then it’s time for the next steps
3. Client set up and paperwork
Once you have accepted our quotation then you will be issued a letter of engagement which will also hold our terms and conditions (these can also be viewed here).
You’ll be provided with a login to your secure client portal where you can view any important information, upload any documents needed and view your welcome pack. This is also where any documents we need you to sign will be uploaded.
If necessary, we will manage the handover from your current accountant and provide step by step instructions about any paperwork which needs to be signed.
